A big thankyou to Rembrand Timber Limited for donating more bark for the paths and beds. As well as some gravel and sand which we have yet to use but is definitely earmarked for future projects already. These paths make navigating the vegetable beds both safer and easier, as well as looking lovely and helping us keep to our no dig policy. Many thanks from everyone at Viewfield Garden Collective ☺️😊
Today we had a very productive dayMore building was done, more path ways made, a lovely wee fire was had in the Polly tunnel to keep us all warm, and we smoked out the Polly tunnel leading to the fire being banished outside. Some of our volunteers also made this beautiful wreath from bits foraged from around the garden A lovely way to spend a wednesday 😊 #garden #viewfieldgardencollective #therapygarden #winterfun
What an excellent week we had. We were so lucky with the weather. Beds built and filled, paths made, weeds weeded and miniature carrots harvested...plus many more jobs, I just can't list them all! Well done everyone, it was great to see you all ☀️ 🌺 😊 🍏 💚
Even when it's close to winter there are still a few flowers to be seen and a few friends too 🤫 #therapygarden #viewfieldgardencollective #charityorganization #autumn

Bubbles in viewfield garden, the reflection of the trees in the bubbles were absolutely beautiful.
What a wonderful day today at our willow weaving workshop. Some beautiful bird feeders/garlic holders were made and many many fish! It was fantastic to see so many happy faces, old friends and new.So a huge thankyou to everyone who made an effort to come along, even just for a few minutes. We were super lucky with the weather and were able to spend most of the day outside, only retreating to the Polly tunnel after lunch when it got cold. A very special thankyou to Monique Bervoets Willow Weaving for the time and effort in travelling so far and putting so much care into helping us all. Everyone had a great day and we look forward to having you back again next year. Also a big thankyou to Meg and Louise for the kind help they gave to everyone and to Jryna for making so much soup. Plus everyone who brought cake! (It was all polished off nicely by the end of the day!)See you all again
We're having a busy day here at viewfield garden. This morning some volunteers were learning about transplanting strawberries and we've been getting the Polly tunnel ready for the winter, some winter crops are in and other beds have been fed and mulched ready for spring time.
The life long learning hub is a fantastic community page and website, they're combining all the local events and activities that involve learning and education to one place, so we can all find out what's available for us really easily. They share opportunities for all ages and ability. Pop over and give their page a brows to see that's happening in the local area. 👏 ✅👍 www.facebook.com/share/vD2DSMMb2DhPB94Z/
This is a Skye & Lochalsh project, which seeks to promote all aspects of learning within our area.
Now the excitement of our social afternoon is gone we can look forward to the willow weaving in two weeks time. The work shop is free to attend for everyone and any equipment required is provided. Looking forward to seeing you all there
